Diese Ma\u00dfnahme erfolgte laut der t\u00fcrkischen Beh\u00f6rde f\u00fcr Informationstechnologie und Kommunikation (BTK) nach Vorw\u00fcrfen eines angeblichen Zensurversuchs von Pro-Hamas-Inhalten. Wie lange die Blockade andauern wird, ist bislang nicht bekannt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hintergrund der Sperre<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staatspr\u00e4sident Recep Tayyip Erdogan hatte zuvor Instagram kritisiert, weil die Plattform Beileidsbekundungen f\u00fcr den get\u00f6teten Hamas-Chef Ismail Hanija blockiert hatte. Hanija wurde am Mittwoch in Teheran get\u00f6tet, wobei die Hamas Israel die Verantwortung zuschreibt. Erdogan erkl\u00e4rte daraufhin einen nationalen Trauertag f\u00fcr Hanija, der sich oft in der T\u00fcrkei aufgehalten hatte. \u201eEin sehr eindeutiger und offensichtlicher Zensurversuch\u201c, meinte Pr\u00e4sidentensprecher Fahrettin Altun in Bezug auf Instagrams Ma\u00dfnahmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bedeutung von Instagram in der T\u00fcrkei<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram ist in der T\u00fcrkei extrem popul\u00e4r: Rund 50 Millionen der 85 Millionen Einwohner haben dort ein Nutzerkonto. Zu den prominenten Nutzern z\u00e4hlt auch der umstrittene Ex-Fu\u00dfballer Mesut \u00d6zil, der auf der Plattform nicht nur seinen Israel-Hass teilt, sondern auch regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Fotos seiner Muskeln postet, einschlie\u00dflich eines Tattoos der \u201eGrauen W\u00f6lfe\u201c auf seinem Oberk\u00f6rper. Die \u201eGrauen W\u00f6lfe\u201c sind eine rechtsextreme, t\u00fcrkisch-nationalistische Bewegung, die in Deutschland vom Verfassungsschutz beobachtet wird und als antisemitisch und rassistisch gilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kritik an der Ma\u00dfnahme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Digitalrecht-Experte Yaman Akdeniz bezeichnete die Sperre als \u201ewillk\u00fcrlich\u201c und ohne \u201eErkl\u00e4rung oder Rechtfertigung\u201c. Diese Sperre ist kein Einzelfall. T\u00fcrkische Beh\u00f6rden haben in der Vergangenheit wiederholt Online-Netzwerke wie Facebook und Twitter blockiert, meist nach Attentaten. Zwischen April 2017 und Januar 2020 war auch die Online-Enzyklop\u00e4die Wikipedia nicht ohne Weiteres aus der T\u00fcrkei zug\u00e4nglich, da in zwei Eintr\u00e4gen behauptet wurde, es gebe Verbindungen zwischen der Regierung in Ankara und extremistischen Organisationen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Sperrung von Instagram in der T\u00fcrkei hat sowohl national als auch international f\u00fcr Aufsehen gesorgt. W\u00e4hrend die Regierung dies als notwendige Ma\u00dfnahme zum Schutz der nationalen Interessen darstellt, sehen Kritiker darin einen weiteren Schritt zur Einschr\u00e4nkung der Meinungsfreiheit und der Zensur in der T\u00fcrkei.
